Free days: What is that? We call them white days at our house. That means there is nothing on the calendar all day long. Praise God, I love those days. We usually start those days as Pajama days. And if we are lucky it stays that way until well after noon.
We get caught up on DVR, watch movies and just hang out. This is a real refueling of my tank and I need one of these about every 2 months.
My son Payton loves these days he snuggles up to me and we sit here all day long doing absolutely nothing. It is the best.
Here are a few more ideas for a great Free day at home:
- Find a shady spot under your favorite tree and read a book. Don’t forget a glass of ice cold lemonade.
- Put together a big puzzle or play a board game with your kids.
- Put on a show! This is especially fun for little kids. Give everyone some time to practice their act. Don’t be shy. Try do a lip-sync to your favorite 80s song.
- Have a water fight in the drive way. The hose, some buckets, and a few spray bottles are the weapons of choice. If you plan this correctly you might even get your car washed too.
The best part of your Free day is that it is well…FREE!
