This is one of our favorite things to do. We love playing on the grass that we don’t have to mow. Smell the flowers that we don’t have prune, and play on monkey bars that we didn’t have to build. We have great parks were we live and I am sure you do too.
So try to make the park interesting:
- Have scavenger hunt (or if the weather is rainy on the park day, plan one for in the house using every letter of the alphabet.)
- Hide plastic Easter eggs with candy in them.
- Build a obstacle course.
- Play night time hide and go seek.
- Have a picnic.
- Ride you bikes through the trails.
- Lay down a blanket and look up at the sky and see how many animals you can make out of the cloud’s.
- Play a game of tag.
- Bring a soccer ball and play a game of soccer.
- Bring a Frisbee and play a game of Frisbee.
- Go early in the morning or stay until it starts to get dark and watch the sunrise and/or sunset.
- Pick wild flowers and press some of them to save.
- Gather a variety of leaves and identify them.
Don’t forget to bring some sun screen and lots of water.
